PERSONAL BACKGROUND I am recently “retired“ after completing about 20 years in the Financial Services Industry. In that period – I managed to grow a medium sized business, focusing on Business Owners, their businesses and their own families. Based on the North Shore since inception, I focused on growing my profile locally via getting involved in numerous local organisations. The community involvement proved to beneficial on so many fronts. I chaired the Carmel College Board of Trustees, Business North Harbour Board, and was involved in Coaching sports at numerous levels. I’m still a regular golfer at North Shore Golf club, and also enjoy Mountain Biking and walking to maintain a level of fitness. I am enjoying the freedom of time – a diary without deadlines, that simply needs to fit in a couple of coffee meetings a week, a few gym sessions, some reading and a few walks to Takapuna Beach. I have been part of WYNners since its inception. The relaxed nature of the networking meetings, and the level of trust amongst the members has allowed me to share business issues, ideas, problems and along the way, build lifelong friendships. It truly does widen your network. Right now, I am ”gently” looking for new professional opportunities, both inside and outside of Financial Services, continuing with some mentoring, staying involved in my community
